GREG BRIFFA — DEPARTMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT (DFID)

Finally, Greg Briffa (DfID) and Jebi Mather Hisham (Local Councillor for Aluva, India) discussed the current Future Proofing Aluva project taking place in Kochi, India, with funding from the British High Commission, and with the involvement of INTBAU and WS Atkins.

GREG BRIFFA — DEPARTMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT (DFID) Greg is the sustainable urban infrastructure lead for DFID in India, were he notably worked on the questions of low carbon development, decentralised electricity and rural climate resilience. He also manages the state level Action Plan on Climate Change.
JEBI MATHER HISHAM — LOCAL COUNCILLOR FOR ALUVA, INDIA
Jebi is the local council member who spearheaded the Future Proofing Aluva work. She is a General Secretary of the Kerala Pradesh Youth Congress. As part of her role as municipal councillor of ward 22, she organised various programmes such as `Clean 22 Green 22' (emphasis on bio pot waste management in every household), `Solar Streets' (emphasis on a green energy initiative), and `Save 2 Units for State' (emphasis on awareness of energy conservation).
